Adriano's ferrari f-80 concept

In the attempt to show what is possible in the automotive world, concepts are designed to capture trends, technology and styling.  Often these cars are shown off at motor shows or highlighted across the net and magazines to gauge reactions from the public.
I had the pleasure of speaking with one Adriano Raeli.  A man born in Rome, Italy and whom has travelled many countries along the way due to his parent’s careers. Having made it to America Adriano attended High School in New York and went on to Coventry University in the UK. After his 2 years of University he again travelled back to America to pursue a passion for art and design at the Art Centre College in Pasadena, successfully graduating in April 2014.
Adriano’s Father is an architect and painter and his brother is currently working towards his Transportation Design degree.  Both members of the family have been an influence on Adriano and his strong interest and love of cars and technology, both in digital and mechanical spheres. Adriano also finds influences in product design, robotics, sculptures and arts.
During his 7th term at the Art Centre College in Pasadena, Adriano put his interest and passions to work in creating a car concept that is still now creating waves across the net.  As part of his thesis for graduation, Adriano created the Ferrari F80 concept. A concept that holds true to the passions of Enzo Ferrari and a concept which challenges the limits of automotive design and technology. It’s a design that takes you as close to the power and speed of formula 1 as you can get.
It was to hit the limits of extreme.  The excitement of seeing hypercars and supercars sets Adriano’s pulse racing. Hearing the sounds of powerful engines brings goosebumps to the skin and this was influencing Adriano to sculpture such a car.
The inspiration for the F80 came from a number areas.  The Boeing NGAD Concept, which is a military development and acquisition program, designed to eventually replace the F18 hornet within the US Navy fleet. Formula 1 Technology is always sitting at the top of the automotive chain for advances in motoring.  Le Mans Heritage holds a wealth of historic engineering ideas and shows the timeline of innovation that the race car has gone through and of course the passions and history behind Ferrari and its founder.
The design was to challenge the limits of aerodynamics and break the barriers that hold many cars back.  Pushing a car to the limits requires a power plant to get it to the limits and Adriano’s not held back on the technology to suit.  A V8 twin turbo engine, similar to the once F40 tuned to 900 horsepower has been twinned with a K.E.R.S (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) motor with a further 300 horsepower, making this one powerful Hybrid.
Adriano has created a design that essentially makes a Formula 1 car for the road. Weighing 800kg (1763lbs) the 1300bhp will propel this wonder to 60mph (100kph) in just 2.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 310mph (510kph).
All that is required is the commissioning.  I can imagine it now, the sounds, the power and a car that will be decorating the streets with more of the just the art of Ferrari. Will La Ferrari and the new track only FxxK be succeeded by the F80, maybe!
